Alejandro Torres Abreu is an environmental sociologist and Associate Researcher in the Department of Social Sciences and at the Transdisciplinary Institute for Social Action Research (ITIAS) at the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sociology from Lancaster University in England; a master’s degree in Human Ecology from the Free University of Brussels in Belgium; and a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.
