• He has worked all his life in the non-profit sector, half of them with the cooperative movement. He was Program Director of the National School of Cooperativism, Executive Director of San Juan NHS, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico section of Amnesty International and currently works as a professor at the Institute of Cooperativism of the University of Puerto Rico, where he coordinates the Cooperative Research and Development Program.

  In addition, he has collaborated with organizations such as COSVI, Red de Apoyo a Grupos Comunitarios, Comité Multisectorial para el Desarrollo Socioeconómico, CABE and AMECS among others.  He was also a member of the Advisory Board of Cooperative Development from 2000 to 2004, and is an active member of the Cooperative Commission of the Bar Association, the Citizen's Commission for the Debt Audit and the Advisory Board of the Cooperative Commission of the Department of Education.
