  • Doctor Irizarry-Robles is an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Psychological Research (IPsi). She is the director of Proyecto AHORA, a project funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration that teaches the Mental Health First Aid training to the Puerto Rican community to increase knowledge about mental health, reduce stigma related to mental health conditions and promote help-seeking behavior among those who need it. She is a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor and Clinical Psychologist in private practice working primarily with LGBTQI+ individuals. She was director at the Puerto Rico’s Psychology Association (APPR) in 2021 and 2022, and editor-in-chief of Revista Griot. She is an Executive Council Representative (Member-at-Large) at the Caribbean Alliance of National Psychological Associations (CANPA), representative at the International Psychology Network for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex Issues, and editor-in-chief of Boletín Diversidad. She has made numerous professional presentations in Puerto Rico and abroad at events such as the APPR and the APA conventions, the International Congress of Psychology, and the Interamerican Society of Psychology, among others.

  • Irizarry-Robles received her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and BA in Psychology at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. She also has a postgraduate degree in Neuropsychology and Dementias from the Miguel de Cervantes European University.
