Morales-Cruz is a Clinical Psychologist at the Institute for Psychological Research, School of Social Sciences, University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. Currently, she is the secretary-general for the Interamerican Society of Psychology and the Puerto Rico workgroup coordinator for the Latin American Federation of Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapies (APTECO-ALAPCCO). Morales-Cruz was the PI of a Developmental Research Project funded by the National Cancer Institute -U54 partnership between Moffitt Cancer Center and Ponce Health Sciences University. The project aimed to adapt and test a Spanish-Language intervention to reduce cancer-related insomnia. Morales-Cruz was the Associate Editor of the Puerto Rican Journal of Psychology (2015-2020) and the Editor-in-chief of the Health and Behavior Journal (2018-2022).
