Bryan Y. Hernández Cuevas is a researcher and educator with a passion for advancing physiological-based machine learning education. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science from The University of Puerto Rico, Arecibo Campus in 2018, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science at The University of Alabama in 2022. Currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Puerto Rico in Arecibo, Bryan is developing a research laboratory focused on physiological computing and machine learning education. He is also a co-founder of Paoli Group LLC, a thriving quality assurance and software engineering firm in Puerto Rico.
Driven by his interest in leveraging physiological computing methods and gamification, Bryan’s research aims to create innovative applications for enhancing machine learning education. Formerly a Research Assistant at The University of Alabama's Human-Technology Interaction Laboratory, Bryan led their first-ever brain-drone race, showcasing modern technologies to the public and exploring complex interactions with Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs).
