Laura Galarza is a Full Professor at the Universidad de Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus since 2002. She obtained her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Rice University in 2002. She has over 30 years of experience in teaching and organizational consulting including 5 years as an Industrial Organizational Psychologist (Contractor) at the Behavioral Health and Performance Group of the NASA Johnson Space Center developing astronaut selection and expeditionary training for International Space Station astronauts. She has received 15 European grants including 14 Erasmus Mundus Scholar Grants for teaching and research as a Visiting Professor at the Erasmus Mundus Work Organizational and Personnel Psychology Master Program at the Universidad de Barcelona, Université de París V, the University of Coimbra in Portugal and the Universidad de Valencia and previous experience as lecturer at Rice University and as adjunct professor at other universities in the USA. She has published NASA Technical Reports, articles in peer-reviewed journals, and peer-reviewed chapters related to topics in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Space Psychology, and Management.
