  • Prof. Nathalie González Torres - Prof. González is the Director of the Santiago Iglesias, Jr. Library (BSIH acronym in Spanish), and Administrative director of the Architecture and Construction Archives of the University of Puerto Rico (AACUPR acronym in Spanish). She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Microbiology from the UPR-Mayagüez Campus, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Documents and Archives Management, a Master's Degree in Information Science and Technology, and a Post-Master's Certificate in Public and Special Academic Library Administration from the Graduate School of Science and Technology, which today is the School of Communications and Information of the UPR-RP. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at the Interamerican University, Ponce Campus in Leadership and Instruction in Distance Education (2025).
    She has worked at the Carolina, Mayagüez and Utuado campuses, as well as in other institutions of higher education and non-profit organizations, with a career of 15 years in the field of Information Sciences. She has extensive experience in specialized Library and in the development of proposals for the search of funds and grants for projects and research; the development of workshops for students and teachers; she has collaborated in the integration of information competencies in courses, and pioneering programs for the implementation of Distance Education according to the Institutional needs and compliance, among others. He has worked in accreditation processes in different specialties at the higher education level.
