- Parés-Matos spent more than twenty-five years as a professor of Biochemistry/Biophysics in the Department of Chemistry. Her research is focused on protein-DNA, protein-drug, and protein-protein interactions. She also has a broad background in Bioinformatics, drug design and regulation of eukaryotic gene expression. As a research advisor, she has supervised graduate students and undergraduate students in the fields of Biology/Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and Industrial Biotechnology.
