Dr. Viteri has more than eight years of experience in genetics and breeding for resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses, and desirable agronomic traits in common bean and pigeonpea; and the evaluation of insecticides to control Lepidopteran species in various crops. Also, he has experience in the development of screening methods to identify crop genotypes with resistance to diseases in the greenhouse. Dr. Viteri is the author/co-author of more than 30 publications in North American and European journals.
