Jerry Torres-Santiago spent 27 years as architect, historian, and researcher before entering the public higher education system. Torres pioneered novel educational approaches like a course on the relation of architecture and psychology, essays on the effects of political and economic power on building and a registered course on Puerto Rico architecture, first of its kind in the UPR.
